Lorraine Harris

Lorraine Harris was born on October 17, 1930 in McAlester, Oklahoma to Wortha Anderson and Roberta

Allen. She and her father came from Oklahoma to California. Lorraine got some of her schooling here

locally and finished at Bakersfield High School. Lorraine met her husband, Arthur Harris. They married

on October 7, 1955. Five (5) children were born out of this union, Kenneth, Wyvanne, Vicki, Yuvette and

Art. Lorraine was a homemaker, she loved hanging out at social events and family gatherings. Lorraine

was the life of all entertainment. She enjoyed cooking. Lorraine was known for her good old chili

beans! The family always wanted her to make them, no matter what holiday or dinner we were having.

Lorraine gave her life to Christ on October 2, 2011. Lorraine is preceded in death by her parents

Wortha, Roberta, husband Arthur and son Kenneth. Lorraine leaves to celebrate her home going one

daughter-in-law Barbara Harris, three daughters, three son-in-laws and one son: Wyvanne and husband

Ricky Franklin, Vicki and husband James Sparks, Yuvette and husband Tony Rice, and son Art. Eleven

(11) grandchildren: Richard, Kenneth II, Marilyn, Miles, Tiffani, Teshawn, Lil Art, Ariel, Shyviah, Zion,

Isaiah. Twelve (12) great grandchildren: Kyzelle, Timothy, Kius, Lynn’ea, Kharaji, DeShun, Aadyn,

Ja’Kobie, KyLynn, Maliyah, Landon, and Arlaeya. One (1) great great-granddaughter: Taliyah. And a

host of relatives, family and friends.
