Reginald J. Scott

May 20, 1980 — April 4, 2024

Las Vegas

Reginald John Scott was born on May 20, 1980 in Bakersfield California, to Arthur Calvin Scott Jr. and Sheila Lynn Smith (Davis). Reginald affectionately known as “Reggie” attended local schools in Bakersfield but received his certificate of completion in Hesperia California.

As a young child Reggie accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior and united with the Church of the Living God, where he loved singing in the children’s choir with his cousins. Reggie loved being with his family, going on vacation, hanging out with his friends and listening to music. Reggie had a special bond with each of his cousins and friends whom he considered family also. He also had a very special place in his heart for his cousin; Stacy Pierson. She was not only his cousin but his go-to person for everything. She was the first person he called when he woke up and the last person he spoke to before he went to bed.

Reggie had many nieces and nephews that he cherished. He was the peacemaker, he always tried to keep everyone and everything together.  He didn't like to argue but you would get a good argument out of him if you talked about his team (the 49er’s), Janet Jackson or R. Kelly ,being the greatest of all time.

In October 2004 Reggie met and started dating Toshiba Torain, the love of his life. Together they moved to Hesperia, California and then to Las Vegas where on December 31, 2011 they united in marriage. As a married man, Reggie grew up overnight ready to take on his responsibilities, family and became Father to Aysia. Their bond was a close one and they spent EVERY birthday together.  As a family, these 3 made Las Vegas their home. Reggie started his career at Ikea then Amazon and later decided to work for Caesars Palace Entertainment.

On April 4, 2024, Reggie heard the soft voice of Jesus calling, “Reginald my child, come to me and rest from your labor, from your pain and all the cares of this world. I will give you rest – that eternal rest.”

Reggie leaves to cherish his memory his wife Toshiba and daughter Aysia, sisters Ashley Davis and Brianna Brooks, six brothers, Johnathan Davis, Yancy and Tyree Scott, Glenn and Marcus Delouth, and Byron Brooks. His aunts, Valerie (Gary) Pierson, Allison (Terry) Washington, Lorrie Pierson and Vondina Bray. Uncles, James (Andrea) Smith and Ray Bray.  In-Laws; Anita Parker & Mark Hopkings Brother-in-law Billy Parker and Sister-in-law Okema Parker and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Reggie was preceded in death by his parents; Sheila Smith and Arthur Scott Jr. and his baby brother Adam Davis.

Reginald John Scott, YOU ARE TRULY LOVED  and will be missed dearly.  My Love, until we meet againI will love you forever, your Wife!!!
