Yasmin Apresa

May 20, 1973 — March 14, 2024

Bakersfield, CA

Yasmins greatest accomplishment in her life was to raise a beautiful family. Yasmin Apresa, 50,of Bakersfield Ca, moved on to the next phase of life on March 14th 2024.

Yasmin was born in Mexicali Mexico on May 5th 1973 to Antonio and Guadalupe Ponce, who she loved very much and enjoyed spending as much time with them as she could. She loved taking her mom to the beach and seeing what her dad was growing in his garden. Yasmin comes from a large family and she loved going to all her family’s get togethers and spending time with them. Yasmin graduated from East High school and started to raise her family a year later with Robert Apresa.

Yasmin met the love of her life, Robert when they were kids, and they didn’t even know it. After a couple of years of being married Yasmin found out that when her and Robert were kids Robert used to live by a corner store that her and her siblings would walk to. Turns out Robert use to throw rocks at anyone that would pass by on the way to the store. That was their first encounter. Yasmin and Roberts path would cross again when they were teenagers in 1991. They started to date in 1991 and were married in 1992.

Yasmin and Robert raised three beautiful children in their 31 years married together. Andrew, Ashley and Ethan. Her kids are her pride and joy, and she is very proud of the adults they have become. Andrew is married and his beautiful wife’s name is Claudia and together they have a beautiful daughter named Elysia. Elysia is Yasmins love of her life. Yasmin loved to spend time with Elysia and going on adventures with her. Yasmin would always tell Elysia that she loved her the big, big much all the way to the snowy mountains.

Yasmin loved her job. She was the Office Manager at Omega Insurance. She worked for Omega Insurance for almost 22 years. She loved working at Omega with Fred Prince and her coworkers.

Anyone that knew Yasmin knows she is a huge San Francisco Giants and 49’er fan. She absolutely would not let anyone talk bad about her teams. I know she would surprise anyone that would try and test her knowledge on her teams.

Yasmin loved spending time with her family. She loved the outdoors. She was a big animal lover. Yasmin spent many years as team mom for both her boys league and club baseball teams. She was team mom for her daughter’s soccer team and went to all of Ashleys band events. Little did her kids know that there were times when she would be under the weather, and it did not stop her from being there for her kids no matter how hot or cold it was. She went to every one of her sons baseball games and band events with her daughter. No matter what the situation Yasmin would always provide for her family. She loved spending time with her grandbaby and spending as much time with her as she could. As a wife for me I was very lucky to marry Yasmin. She was my soulmate. In the 31 years we were married she would get up every morning with me to iron my cloths and make me lunch. I will forever miss talking to her and spending time with her. Yasmin was a great wife, mother and nana. She was very caring, loving and will forever be missed. She would always tell the kids and her grandbaby,” I love you the big, big much to the snowy mountains.” My love until we see each other again, the kids and I love you the big, big much to the snowy mountains.
